The Integrated Basic Education claimed stage dominance in an almost two-hour concert entitled “Shindig: IBED Way to Infin80 and Beyond” last October 29.

The '60s and '70s era encapsulated the song and dance performances of the IBED bringing back memories when the first man landed on the moon and the first Filipina to win the Miss Universe crown.

Snippets from the musicals directed by “Maam J” such as Jesus Christ Superstar and King and I, were brought back to the musical track by the league of talented divas.

The performances were even made more electrifying with the grooves of dancing royalties.

IBED also paid tribute to the gigantic trio of Philippine music – Danny, Buboy and Jim of the APO Hiking Society as well as the vibe and beat of world renowned Manila Sound.

The IBED concert is second in the three-part NDMC 80th Concert competition. The first performers were the NTP in their 50’s and 60’s themed concert.

Fr. Stephen Ondoy, OMI, Mr Reynante Catulong and Ms. Baby Morente were the judges of the event.

The third concert performers are the college faculty set on December 14, which coincidentally the birthday of NDMC president Fr. Jonathan R. Domingo, OMI.

The concert ended with the singing of the NDMC 80th Anniversary Jingle “Grateful and Great” which captured the mood of the evening.
