The Notre Dame of Midsayap College, founded in 1941, is the first Notre Dame school in Asia. The name “Notre Dame” was suggested by Rev. Fr. Joseph Boyd, OMI since both the Oblate Congregation and the Philippines are dedicated to Our Lady.

The Notre Dame of Midsayap College Seal was composed by Rev. Fr. Charles Prass, OMI and Capt. Arturo Andrada and designed by Most Rev. Mariano A. Madriaga, D.D.

VITA AETERNA expresses the purpose of Notre Dame of Midsayap College . It is taken from the Holy Gospel according to St. John 17:3, “Now this is everlasting life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Him whom You have sent, Jesus Christ”. This passage is the Oblate motto in their apostolate of evangelizing the poor.

The THREE STARS symbolize the Philippines; the LILY stands for Notre Dame, Our Lady; the RAM’S HORN (Aries) is the first sign of the zodiac, Notre Dame of Midsayap College being the first Notre Dame school; the BOOK stands for Notre Dame, the Academe; the STONE FORTRESS is for Cotabato, the province; SAYAP , a Muslim hat signifies Midsayap, the town; OMI are initial letters for OBLATES OF MARY IMMACULATE , the founding Congregation of the school.
