Medical mission, gift-giving benefit barangay folks of Bitoka, Midsayap

In order to intensify the NDMC Core Value of Service, the Integrated Basic Education (IBED) in partnership with the College of Nursing spearheaded a medical mission and gift-giving activity to the residents of Barangay Bitoka, Midsayap, Cotabato on December 9, 2017. This undertaking aims to assess the health needs of the residents and provide them with the basic healthcare services.

Approximately, one hundred (100) residents of the said barangay availed the free medical consultation offered by two (2) volunteer physicians namely, Dr. Maria Theresa B. Tenorio and Dr. Hilario Tenorio. Health education was also emphasized after every check-up to ensure that instructions are well understood and compliance with therapeutic regimen will be maintained.

On the other hand, the CN clinical instructors and student nurses facilitated the screening, listing and dispensing of medications during the medical mission. Similarly, the IBED faculty members conducted the gift-giving activity to the residents.

Inspired by the charism of St. Eugene de Mazenod, we take pride in providing noteworthy assistance to others and the poor in their many faces by providing exceptional service with passion and commitment.
