Coachella (Departmental Acquiantance Day)

Mother Nature Thumbs-up Coachella-bration

Everyone prayed for an excellent weather for the annual acquaintance program. The dress code was clear. The program was set. The food was prepared. And the venue was the Soccer Field – no roof and wall to protect the party goers, should there be rain in the erratic month of August. But the prayers were powerful than nature, and the party at the field ruled and succeeded.

The students in their awesome exquisiteness trooped the field – dressed up and all eager to experience a Coachella-inspired acquaintance party this August 1, 2019. The students were divided into five (5) clusters. Cluster 1 is composed of CITE and STEM students, Cluster 2 are CAS and CCJE students, Cluster 3 are CED, TVL and SPORTS students, Cluster 4 are CN and HUMSS students, and Cluster 5 are CBA and ABM students.
The program started with the preliminaries- Opening Prayer, National Anthem, Midsayap Hymn, and Welcome Address. The guidelines for the parlor games and novelty dance were announced before the start of the contest. The novelty dance competition was participated by the different clusters. A heartwarming intermission number was performed by Pia Princesa. The party concluded with the giving of the awards for the novelty dance winners and the special awards.
