NDMC CED's 3rd Pinning Ceremony: A Milestone Reached for Future Educators
"Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful." -Herman Cain
It is indeed, a happy and successful day as Notre Dame of Midsayap College College of Education proudly held its 3rd Pinning Ceremony at the Bulwagang Genoveva deles-Jaranilla for the interns of the 2nd semester, batch Bidlisiw, with the theme “Lightbearers of Hope: NDMC-CEducators Rise in the Era of Learning Innovation.”
The pinning ceremony started at 8:00 am on August 23, 2025. The event marked the official send-off of pre-service teachers as they stepped into the world of practice teaching. The highlight of the program was the pinning of future educators from different programs—Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education, Bachelor of Physical Education, and Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education—symbolizing their commitment and readiness for the teaching profession.
Fr. Ramon Ma. G. Bernabe, OMI, President of NDMC, delivered an inspirational message, reminding the students of their mission as future mentors. The pins were blessed by Fr. Anthony Vincent Benedict, OMI, School Chaplain, while Dr. Honeylyn M. Mahinay, Dean of the College of Education, gave the Confirmation and Send-Off Message, urging the pre-service teachers to embody excellence, service, and compassion.
Special segments of the program included the oath of commitment of the pre-service teachers, the acceptance of partner schools, the presentation of the batch name, and the performance of the batch song, all of which reflected unity, hope, and enthusiasm as the students embark on their practice teaching journey.
As rays of the sun, Bidlisiw symbolizes that these individuals are the "bearers of hope," where teaching is not just a profession, but a calling—a chance to be a light in the lives of students and a spark for innovation in education.
