NDMC-IBED Showcases Culinary Excellence in Food Exhibit 2026
The Notre Dame of Midsayap College – Integrated Basic Education Department (NDMC-IBED) successfully conducted Food Exhibit 2026 with the theme, “Grand Sapphire Hotel: A Notre Damean Culinary Banquet Showcase.” The two-day event provided students with a hands-on learning experience by simulating a luxury hotel banquet service, where they assumed professional roles such as Executive Chefs, Sous Chefs, Banquet Managers, and Food Service Staff.
The event featured a morning culinary challenge, where Grade 9 students prepared cold meals and Grade 10 students specialized in hot meals under the evaluation of industry experts. In the afternoon, students showcased their culinary creations through professionally designed food booths, presenting a variety of dishes and desserts while demonstrating hospitality and customer service skills.
More than a culinary competition, the activity served as a platform for students to develop creativity, teamwork, financial management, and entrepreneurship. Through food preparation, budgeting, and presentation, participants gained valuable real-world skills while showcasing their talents and innovation.
The success of Food Exhibit 2026 reflects NDMC-IBED’s commitment to experiential learning and holistic student development, preparing learners for future opportunities in the culinary, hospitality, and business industries.
