NDMC IBED Subject Coordinators Strengthen Data-Driven Instruction Through NDEA Results Utilization Seminar
Tacurong City – The Subject Coordinators of the Notre Dame of Midsayap College – Integrated Basic Education Department (NDMC-IBED) participated in the Seminar on Test Data Utilization and Interpretation held at Notre Dame of Tacurong College on May 21, 2026. The seminar aimed to strengthen educators' capacity to interpret achievement test results and utilize data in improving instructional practices and student learning outcomes.
The seminar focused on the utilization and interpretation of the Notre Dame Educational Assessment (NDEA) results for both the Grade School and Junior High School departments. Through comprehensive presentations, participants examined learners' performance across the core subject areas of English, Filipino, Science, Mathematics, Religion, and Araling Panlipunan.
Using graphs, charts, and other data visualization tools, the facilitator guided participants in identifying learning trends, strengths, and areas requiring instructional intervention. The discussions emphasized how assessment data can serve as a valuable basis for curriculum enhancement, instructional planning, and the implementation of evidence-based teaching strategies.
Particular attention was given to learners' competencies in language, analytical thinking, problem-solving, conceptual understanding, values formation, and social responsibility. The seminar highlighted the importance of translating assessment results into meaningful classroom practices that address learning gaps while reinforcing students' strengths.
The data utilization workshop also encouraged collaborative analysis among subject coordinators, enabling them to formulate appropriate recommendations and intervention plans that support continuous school improvement and academic excellence.
By participating in this professional development activity, NDMC-IBED reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a culture of data-informed decision-making and continuous quality improvement.
