NDMC Joins IEMC Assessment and Planning Meeting in Davao City
The Bachelor of Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Communication of Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) participated in the Independent Election Monitoring Center (IEMC) Assessment and Planning Meeting held on July 3, 2025, at Acacia Hotel, Davao City.
The activity gathered key organizations such as the Institute for Autonomy and Governance (IAG), NAMFREL, PPCRV, NDBC, CSAT, CCAA, NDU, and NDMC to review the outcomes of the May 12, 2025 Midterm Elections and to plan for the upcoming BARMM Parliamentary Elections in October 2025.
During the meeting, Atty. Benedicto R. Bacani, IAG Executive Director, underscored the importance of citizen engagement and transparency in ensuring electoral integrity. Participants assessed IEMC’s systems, identified challenges such as logistical gaps and vote-buying incidents, and reaffirmed their commitment to uphold democratic values in the Bangsamoro region.
As part of the action plan, IEMC and its partner institutions will conduct a series of capacity-building trainings to strengthen coordination, improve reporting mechanisms, and ensure transparent and peaceful elections across BARMM. NDMC is expected to play a vital role in this historic democratic process.
