NDMC Launches Bio Caravan Campaign 2026 Across Partner High Schools
Midsayap and nearby communities – Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) conducted the Bio Caravan Campaign 2026 on February 9, 11, and 13, 2026, bringing science closer to the community through the theme, “Biology in Action: Bringing Science Closer to the Community.” The initiative aimed to promote the Bachelor of Science in Biology program and raise awareness among senior high school students about career opportunities and real-world applications of Biology.
The caravan visited five partner schools: Salunayan National High School, Kimagango High School, Dilangalen National High School, Villarica High School, and Arizona High School.
On February 9, the team first visited Salunayan National High School, engaging 120 students, followed by Kimagango High School in the afternoon with 117 participants. On February 11, the caravan reached Dilangalen National High School, where the team conducted classroom-based orientations across 21 sections, reaching 979 students. Later that day, 132 students participated in the activity at Villarica High School. The final leg was held on February 13 at Arizona High School.
Except for Dilangalen National High School, the caravan followed a structured program that included an opening prayer, national anthem, Midsayap hymn, welcome remarks, and interactive science stations. Students explored hands-on learning areas such as:
- Free Blood Typing
- DNA Extraction
- Anatomy Station
- Microscopic World
The Bio Caravan Campaign demonstrated the power of experiential learning in stimulating curiosity and appreciation for science. Interactive stations such as DNA extraction and microscopy effectively translated complex biological concepts into tangible, engaging experiences.
The classroom-based approach at Dilangalen National High School highlighted the importance of strong coordination, structured programming, and unified messaging when promoting academic programs. The experience reinforced the need for preparedness, adaptability, and positive representation of the Biology program. The activity concluded with trivia questions, student sharing of insights, and closing remarks
Beyond program promotion, the campaign strengthened teamwork, communication skills, and community engagement among organizers.
