NDMC Participates in 68th PAASCU General Assembly
Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) took part in the 68th General Assembly of the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU), held at Conrad Manila. The assembly gathered around 700 delegates from PAASCU member schools nationwide under the theme, “Transformative Education for Life: Shaping a Future Where Learning, Trust, and Technology Align.”
The event highlighted the evolving role of quality assurance in Philippine education, emphasizing resilience, equity, innovation, and global alignment. In his State of PAASCU Address, PAASCU President Br. Bernard S. Oca, FSC, presented the association’s milestones and strategic priorities for 2024–2025.
Keynote messages were delivered by Hon. Juan Edgardo “Sonny” M. Angara, Secretary of the Department of Education, and Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, Chairperson of the Commission on Higher Education. Both leaders underscored the importance of transformative, inclusive, and future-ready education systems. A significant highlight of the event was the awarding of PAASCU’s ISO Certification by TÜV Rheinland Philippines Inc., reaffirming its commitment to international standards of quality assurance.
The assembly also featured learning sessions led by experts from Victoria University of Wellington, the British Accreditation Council, and Ateneo de Manila University. Topics included transformative education, accreditation as a catalyst for future-ready institutions, and the integration of artificial intelligence in teaching, learning, and quality assurance.
NDMC’s participation in the assembly strengthened its commitment to continuous improvement, responsible innovation, and learner-centered excellence. The insights gained will guide the institution in refining its accreditation processes and enhancing its quality assurance systems to better serve its academic community.
