NDMC SHS Conducts Peer Facilitator Seminar-Workshop for Academic Year 2025–2026

The Senior High School Guidance Office of Notre Dame of Midsayap College successfully conducted its Peer Facilitator Seminar-Workshop on August 26, 2025, bringing together both returning and newly inducted peer facilitators for a day of formation and skills development. With the theme “Building Core Skills for Peer Support,” the activity emphasized the vital role of peer companions in strengthening a caring and responsive school community.

The seminar introduced new members to the principles and foundations of the NDMC Peer Facilitators’ Society, while providing seasoned members with an opportunity to refresh and deepen their commitment. Participants engaged in discussions and hands-on activities centered on active listening, empathy, and essential counseling micro-skills, helping them become more confident and effective in supporting classmates facing personal or academic challenges.

The workshop created a collaborative learning atmosphere where peer facilitators shared experiences, reflected on their responsibilities, and embraced the values of compassion, service, and solidarity. By strengthening their skills and understanding of their role, the Guidance Office ensures that peer facilitators remain reliable partners in promoting student well-being and fostering a positive school environment.
