NDMC Social Work Department Holds Pre-Immersion Program for Interns

The Bachelor of Science in Social Work program, in collaboration with the Guidance and Testing Center, conducted a Pre-Immersion Program on July 16, 2025, at the Testing Office with the theme “Getting Ready for the World of Work.” The activity aimed to prepare intern students for their upcoming field practice by equipping them with professional knowledge, ethical values, and a positive work mindset.

The program included the interpretation of the Gordon Personality Test facilitated by Ms. Sherlie Naiz Jubacon, RPm, which helped students understand their strengths and growth areas. Mr. Ronilo S. Dela Peña, College Guidance Advocate, shared tips on maintaining professionalism, ethical behavior, and self-care throughout the internship process. Guidance Director Ms. Maria Fe S. Mahinay, RGC, also provided insights on client care and workplace discipline.

The activity concluded with a pledge of commitment, where students vowed to uphold responsibility, integrity, and excellence as future social workers. The pre-immersion program strengthened the interns’ confidence and preparedness, aligning with NDMC’s mission to nurture competent, ethical, and service-oriented professionals ready to contribute meaningfully to society.
