Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) proudly participated in the 25th Philippine National Chemistry Olympiad (PNCO) 2026 – Regional Eliminations held on February 7, 2026, at the University of Southern Mindanao, Kabacan, North Cotabato. Organized by the Integrated Chemists of the Philippines – SOCCSKSARGEN (ICP-SOX) Chapter, the event gathered top-performing secondary students across the region in a rigorous academic competition.

The competition featured a written theoretical examination, laboratory practical exam, and quiz bee, designed to assess both scientific knowledge and hands-on laboratory skills. Participants also benefited from inspirational talks and academic exchanges that enriched their learning experience.

Representing NDMC were Romell R. Salicena, Mohammad Hazeck C. Mashul, and Mykhyla O. Tampos, who placed 12th, 20th, and 28th, respectively, out of 39 participants. While they did not advance to the Top 5 qualifiers for the national finals, their performance demonstrated competence, determination, and strong potential in the field of chemistry.

The participation of NDMC in PNCO 2026 highlights the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and scientific development. The experience provided valuable exposure to competitive learning environments, further strengthening students’ analytical thinking, laboratory skills, and passion for science.
