NSTP-LTS Conducts Lesson Planning Seminar-Workshop
All NSTP-LTS students participated in a Lesson Planning Seminar-Workshop held at the JBB AVR, with Mr. Raffy S. Virtucio, MEAL, serving as the resource person. The activity aimed to deepen students’ understanding of the proper process of developing a lesson plan and its importance in effective teaching, as part of the NSTP Community Immersion program.
The program opened with a prayer, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, the Notre Dame Hymn, and the Midsayap Hymn, setting a respectful and focused atmosphere. A student representative delivered the opening message and introduced the guest speaker.
Mr. Virtucio provided practical guidance on lesson planning, highlighting the MATATAG curriculum as its foundation. He clearly discussed the key components of a lesson plan, with particular emphasis on formulating clear and measurable objectives and adapting lessons to learners’ needs. Despite time constraints, participants were able to explore essential elements of curriculum-aligned lesson planning.
As part of the workshop, students presented their prepared lesson plans through demonstrations, allowing them to apply what they had learned while developing their confidence and communication skills.
Overall, the seminar-workshop was a meaningful and interactive experience. It equipped students with essential knowledge and skills that will guide them in their future roles as responsible teachers and community servants.
