NDMC Conducts Pinning Ceremony for Education Interns: “Batch Bidlisiw – Rays of Hope in the Field of Teaching”
The Pinning Ceremony marked a significant milestone for the pre-service teachers of Notre Dame of Midsayap College as they were officially sent off to their field study and practice teaching. Blessed by Fr. Anthony Vincent Benedict, OMI, School Chaplain, the symbolic pinning by parents represented support, trust, and the interns’ readiness to embrace their teaching vocation.
The event highlighted interns from the Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education, Bachelor of Physical Education, and Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education programs. Fr. Ramon Maria G. Bernabe, OMI, in his inspirational message, reminded the interns of their mission as future mentors, while Dr. Honeylyn M. Mahinay encouraged them to uphold the NDMC values of excellence, service, and compassion.
Named Batch Bidlisiw, meaning ray of light, the group symbolizes the interns’ role as bearers of hope and innovation in education. The ceremony also featured the oath of commitment, acceptance of partner schools, and the presentation of the batch name and song, showcasing the unity and enthusiasm of the future educators.
The event underscored NDMC’s commitment to shaping competent, value-driven teachers ready to make a positive impact in their communities.
