NDMC Holds Agile Leadership Training for COE and COD Preparation

Notre Dame of Midsayap College, Midsayap – Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC), through its Quality Assurance Office, successfully conducted a two-day capacity-building training titled “Pandayan ng Kahusayan: Strengthening Agile Leadership for Centers of Excellence (COE) and Centers of Development (COD) Success” on September 3–4, 2025, at the NDMC Primera Function Hall. The activity gathered NDMC administrators in preparation for pursuing COE and COD recognition.

The training was facilitated by Dr. Annebelle R. Dafielmoto, Education Program Supervisor II from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office XII.

The program opened with an executive session on September 3 attended by members of the Management Committee, deans, and office directors. The session focused on a critical review of the NDMC website, identifying areas for improvement such as timely updates and better presentation of institutional achievements and academic strengths. Clear action points were identified, reinforcing the need for agile and data-informed leadership practices.

The formal training commenced on September 4, with the participation of administrators, program heads, and coordinators. In his opening message, NDMC President Ramon Maria G. Bernabe, OMI, emphasized cultivating a culture of continuous improvement to sustain the institution’s long-term strategic goals.

Participants were grouped into three teams—Angat, Husay, and Galing—to promote collaboration and shared leadership. Sessions covered key topics such as An Overview of Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Applying Quality Assurance in Higher Education Programs, equipping leaders with both conceptual understanding and practical strategies.

Two reflective workshops were conducted:

  • “What Are the Strengths of NDMC?” – examining institutional growth and accomplishments over the past 15 years.
  • “What Will NDMC Be?” – envisioning the institution’s future direction as a higher education institution (HEI), focusing on program relevance and quality assurance practices.

The training strengthened NDMC’s leadership capacity and reinforced its commitment to excellence, collaboration, and strategic innovation.

Through this initiative, NDMC continues to position itself toward achieving higher standards of academic quality and institutional excellence.
