NDEA CMRE Summit 2025: DIWANAG 2025
The Campus Ministry and Religious Education (CMRE) personnel of Notre Dame of Midsayap College participated in the NDEA CMRE Summit 2025: DIWANAG 2025, held on November 20–22, 2025, at the Primera Hall, Notre Dame of Midsayap College. The summit was organized by the Notre Dame Educational Association (NDEA) as part of the celebration of the Jubilee Year 2025.
DIWANAG 2025, a term coined by Dr. Jerwin Tampe from the Filipino words diwa (spirit) and liwanag (light), served as a transformative pastoral gathering for Campus Ministers, Religious Educators, and Formators from NDEA member schools. The three-day event aimed to deepen faith, strengthen mission, and enhance Catholic formation practices in response to the challenges of contemporary education and society.
The summit opened with a Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Charlie Inzon, OMI, D.D., who emphasized that Religious Educators and Campus Ministers are called to be “spirit and light” within their institutions, especially in a world marked by uncertainty and unrest. Welcome remarks were delivered by Ramon Maria G. Bernabe, OMI, while the keynote address was given by Bernadette G. Baldimor, OND, who encouraged servant leadership rooted in empathy and purpose.
The sessions highlighted theological reflection, work spirituality, evangelization in the workplace, inclusive accompaniment of non-Catholic students, youth-centered pedagogy, multicultural awareness, digital integration, and curriculum alignment in Religious Education. Participants were challenged to evangelize not only through words but through authentic witness and Gospel-centered living.
The summit served as a meaningful opportunity for renewal and recommitment among Religious Education teachers and Campus Ministry personnel. It deepened participants’ faith, strengthened professional competence, and reinforced their mission as formators in Catholic education. DIWANAG 2025 truly became a spirit-led and light-filled gathering that inspired collaboration, innovation, and faithful service.
