NDMC College of Nursing Participates in 10th Mindanao Research Convention
The Notre Dame of Midsayap College College of Nursing actively participated in the 10th Mindanao Research Convention held on October 10–11, 2025, at The Farm at Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City, with the theme “One Health and Public Health: Collaborative Strategies for Global Health.”
Representing NDMC in the Oral and Poster Presentation categories were Leanna Theresa C. Wong and Alnormen Dampa, together with delegates Kent Daryl M. Soberano, Abdulhumbert Suleik, Kaye Amor Labiao, and Eloisa Macadaan. They were accompanied by Dr. Nathalie A. Sara, Mr. Dennis Amando, and Jalil C. Antecristo.
The convention gathered researchers, educators, and healthcare professionals to discuss collaborative approaches in addressing global health concerns through the One Health framework, emphasizing the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health.
Keynote speakers included Dr. Michael L. Tee, Dr. John Thomas C. Franco, and Dr. Lydia Pascual, who highlighted the importance of evidence-based research, interdisciplinary collaboration, community engagement, and policy-driven health initiatives in improving public health systems.
The participation of NDMC strengthened the institution’s commitment to research excellence, innovation, and community-responsive healthcare education. The event also provided valuable insights on integrating One Health principles into nursing research, strengthening partnerships, and translating research outputs into sustainable public health initiatives.
