A Night of Triumph: A Congratulatory Event for NDMC’s Newly Registered Social Workers
In recognition of the 24 newly Registered Social Workers of Notre Dame of Midsayap College, the Bachelor of Science in Social Work organized a testimonial dinner yesterday at Bulwagang Genoveva Deles Jaranilla.
The event commenced with the awe-striking entrance of royal guards, the honorees along with their parents, the College of Arts and Sciences faculty, and school administrators.
The Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Ma’am Chinitt P. Singco, MIB, together with Fr. Jonathan R. Domingo, OMI, Engr. Ronniel D. Labio, MIT, and Russell Ann L. Completano, RSW shared their uplifting and enlivening messages for the newly registered social workers and the aspiring BSSW students. Their speeches highlighted the significant role of social workers in our community.
Ms. Jomarie Joyce F. Verano, RSW, and Mr. Christian Dane Y. Bayquin, RSW, and their parents touched the hearts of the audience when they shared their journeys on the quest for the true and noble purpose of their course and profession and as they talked about their hurdles along the way, especially during the board examination, and they were grateful for the fruit of their labor.
Alma Verano and Nancy V. Bayquin, the honorees' parents, delivered their heartfelt and harmonious message. They shared their difficulties as parents while sending their sons and daughters to school and expressed their undefinable gratitude and pride toward their triumph.
Furthermore, while enjoying their dinner, a token of appreciation was given to the honorees. Soon after, Sir Jonaiden Cambat, RSW, delivered his closing remarks as he congratulated the newly registered social workers and motivated the aspiring RSWs.
