Earthquakes can move mountains but it cannot literally and figuratively move the Testimonial Dinner for the second batch of Electronics Engineer. Amidst the two natural phenomenon (earthquake and a heavy rainfall) that occurred last Sunday, December 16 the CITE students and the faculty bravely and glamorously wore their black formal attire to welcome the pride of the CITE department – their new Registered Electronic Engineers. The College of Nursing hosted a testimonial dinner last December 14 at the Primera Function Hall in honor of the 2019 Nursing Licensure Exam passers. This event is dedicated to the passers for clutching the Back-to-Back 100% passing rate and the people behind their triumphs in the board exams. Dr. Nathalie S. Nadela, RN. MN-CN Dean welcomed the honorees, parents and visitors. The school president, Fr. Jonathan R. Domingo, OMI inspired the passers to be the best nurses as they can be. The honorees shared their insights and experiences on their journey towards becoming Registered Nurses. It was followed by the awarding of certificates of recognition and souvenirs to the successful passers. The long drought of producing LPT Topnotcher has finally come to an end in the College of Education as 3 LET takers made it to the Top 10 in the recently conducted LET last September 2019. Gybrille Rosse Galvan Ferolin (BEED-PreSchool) Top 3, Adrian Turbanos Obeñita (BEED) Top 7 and Angelo Paculio Florague (BSED-Math) Top 8 will rewrite the history of the college for the passion and perseverance and persistence that drove them to reach the pinnacle of success. The BEED-PreSchool, BSED Filipino, BSED Math, BSED Social Studies, BSED English, BSED Biology and BSED BTTE boast of the 100% passing rate. BEED raised the bar with a passing rate of 89.29, BSED MAPEH made an 84.21% passing rate while the BSED TLE hit the 66.66 % passing rate. Ferolin, Obeñita and Florague will receive P100,000.00...

It was not a typical day for the NDMC community to gather at Bulwagang Genoveva Deles Jaranilla on December 13, 2019. It was not just a usual Eucharistic celebration that is traditionally practiced by everyone. It was a double festivity because the day is also the thanksgiving mass for the 55th birthday of the NDMC President- Fr. Jonathan R. Domingo, OMI. Bouquet of flowers, gifts, warm hugs and kisses flooded the birthday celebrant to which he reciprocated by announcing the suspension of classes. The crowd, though anticipating for the announcement was ecstatic and excited. NDMC grounds from rotonda to the college library is decked with adorable Christmas lights, balls, trees and lanterns. The message is clear- it is a Festival of lights this Christmas season. The evening at NDMC is made more Christmassy with the glitters, sparkles, and twinkles. This is actually upgraded decors from the previous one last year with additional at the Rotonda and Library area. It is totally a festive ambiance no wonder more and more netizens drop by and take pictures outrightly uploaded in their social media accounts. The Emergency Personnel Assembly last November 22 cleared all doubts and apprehensions regarding the safety and security of the NDMC physical structures. With the series of earthquakes that ravaged parts of Mindanao, one cannot help but question the safety and stability of structures most especially schools with multi-level classrooms. Such was the case of Notre Dame of Midsayap College which has three 3-storey buildings (Joseph Boyd, Mongeau, De Mazenod), one 4-storey building (Robert Sullivan), one 2-storey Ladies’ Dormitory and decade’s old McGrath Building as well as the CCJE Building.
