It happens once a year when NDMC personnel gather for an amazing festivity of sports, camaraderie and glamour. The NDMC Sports Fest 2019 held last September 10 to 13 is much anticipated with its breed of new talents and olympians. The personnel were divided into three teams: Amazing Yellow, Victorious Red and Startling Blue. The sports events contested are Basketball (M), Volleyball (M/W), Kickball (Mixed), Darts (M/W), Badminton (M/W). While the students had their intramural battle, the personnel too are enjoying the game with a heady mix of fun and sportsmanship. The five-day SIDLAK intramurals has come to a colorful end. The CBA Golden Eagles emerged as the Over-all Champion. The ASCEND Blue Toucans which was last year’s champion was declared first runner-up while CITE Black Hawks finished second runner-up. The awarding ceremonies was held immediately after the Socio-Cultural competitions. The dance competitions include Urban Folk Dance, Dance Sport: Modern Standard and Latin American, Contemporary Dance and Hip-hop Dance. Each team sent their participants with deft talent in painting, charcoal rendering and playing instrument. The contestants for the On-the-Spot Painting and Charcoal Rendering displayed their flair for colors, symmetry and contrast at the McGrath Hall while the contestants of the Instrumental Solo performed with confidence and charm at the Primera Function Hall. Dameans’ Night was set on the fourth day of Sidlak 2019 at the Open Field, highlighting Battle of the Bands. It also featured a live concert and the most awaited foam party. The energy of the students was evident as they burst out their support to their respective teams. There was constant drizzle but this did not dampen the intamural spirit. The crowd jammed to the beat, enjoyed the rhythm and danced along with the beats while each competing team gave their best shot in their performances. Indeed, Notre Dameans are packed with different talents and an outstanding flavor of music. The Junior High School was on the spotlight as it staged the Mr. and Ms. Intrams last September 11, 2019 at the Bulwagang Genoveva Deles-Jaranilla . The jampacked bulwagan also included competitions in Vocal Solo and Duet Singing, Muziklaban, Folkdance and Hip Hop Dance. Felix Sario, Jr –BSHM 1 and Kryza Jane Torrejas – BSBA-FM 1, both from the College of Business and Accountancy earned the nods of the judges as this year’s Mr. and Ms. SIDLAK 2019. This year’s Mr. and Ms. SIDLAK is a first of its kind as the three competing teams sent 2 pairs of candidates. Camaraderie, Sportsmanship, and Solidarity spelled out this year’s intramural meet of the Notre Dame of Midsayap College. The five-day academic hiatus from September 9 to 13 commenced with a Eucharistic celebration at the Bulwagang Geneoveva Deles-Jaranilla. This was officiated by Fr.Elmer Boston , OMI.
